FoundMe App
A local map for things that should find a way home.
Post a nearby lost item or street giveaway without creating a public identity. Pins are approximate, temporary, and kept useful through local community signals.
The actual product
Useful nearby information, with less personal data.
FoundMe is intentionally a map utility, not another social network. It supports two simple neighborhood actions.
- 01
See nearby pins
Open the map and filter Lost & Found pins by category and current status.

- 02
Find local giveaways
Switch to Giveaway to discover items left outside for someone nearby to reuse.

- 03
Post approximately
Add a pin near your GPS location, adjust it within 250 metres, and add a short note.

- 04
Keep the map current
People nearby can signal recovered, moved, taken, unavailable, or unsafe.

Privacy by design
Minimal identity. Temporary information. Clear limits.
FoundMe uses anonymous sign-in and stores only what is needed to show, maintain, and moderate a temporary local pin.
- No public profiles, direct messages, photos, or contact exchange.
- Stored coordinates are blurred by 20–50 metres.
- Pins expire automatically and owners can remove their own posts.
- Hide, block, report, note filtering, and moderation escalation are built in.
Access
Free, focused, and intentionally small.
FoundMe currently has no ads, subscriptions, paid features, donations, or reward mechanics. Optional notifications tell pin owners when their posts receive useful feedback or reports.
